Atlantis & Avalon Demo Programs
IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GET STARTED

If you’re using the Windows XP or VISTA Operating Systems ON 32 Bit Computers you must download and install an Microsoft ODBC driver prior to installing the KennelSoft Demo Program. 

 INTERNET DOWNLOADED DEMOS:  If you are downloading your KennelSoft demo program you need to also download and install the  ODBC Print Driver from this link -  Download ODBC XP/VISTA Driver (English Version).  At this time we do not support the 64 Bit computers.

MAILED PROGRAM DEMOS ON CD:  The needed ODBC Print Driver is included on the mailed Program Demo CD - Install prior to installing the Program Demo.  To load demo from CD do the following: 

      a.      Insert Disk in CD drive
b.      Go to My Computer double-click, your CD Rom drive and double click.
c.      Double-click on either the Atlantis or Avalon Setup and follow the prompts.

TO ACCESS DEMO PROGRAM ON YOUR COMPUTER - After loading the demo program you will see an Atlantis or Avalon Demo folder located on your Windows Desktop. 

Open folder and double-click on the QuickStep icon.  This is a 16 page Word document that will take you through the demo.  We strongly recommend that you print this.   Our manual is also included as a 65 page Word document and may be printed.

Minimum Computer Requirements are Windows 98 Second Edition, 600 Mhz, and 256 Meg ram.
Screen resolution should be set to 800 x 600 using either 24 bit or 32 bit true color.

International Demo Users using a DD/MM/YY date format should go to their Control Panel and change the Regional Settings to US format MM/DD/YYYY.  Changing the date format is ONLY necessary for purposes of the DEMO program and is not required with purchased programs

The example report dates shown in the QuickStep file are in US format (MM/DD/YY).  Users in Australia and New Zealand should enter those dates in DD/MM/YY order.

FEATURES NOT SUPPORTED IN THE DEMO PROGRAMS - The following features are supported in the purchased version of KennelSoft programs but are not included in this demo:

• Caller ID features that will automatically bring up a client’s record when phone rings.   If the client has a current or future reservation it will be brought up as well.  Atlantis searches on both home and work telephone numbers.

• Export files that allow all Atlantis reports to be exported into Excel, Lotus, Word, or HTML.

• At this time, we do not support 64 Bit computers.
